THAILAND'S NEW VISA MEASURES NOW EFFECTIVE ! On 15 July 2024, Thailand announced new visa measures to enhance Thailand’s tourism and economy, which took effect on 15 July 2024.

Songkran is an ancient tradition of Thailand that has been celebrated since antiquity. "Songkran in Thailand, traditional Thai New Year festival" was inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity under the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage or the 2003 UNESCO Convention on 6 December 2023

Loy Krathong is one of Thailand’s national festivals. It was announced as an item on the list of national intangible cultural heritage in 2011, in the category of social practices, rituals, customs, and festivals. Thailand is set to propose the annual Loy Krathong festival for inclusion in UNESCO’s intangible cultural heritage list. This year, the Royal Thai Embassy, with support from the Thai Community, demonstrated how to make Krathong at the Thai Festival in Moscow 2023 on 5-7 August 2023 at the Hermitage Garden. We are pleased to promote Thai culture to wider public in Russia.
