Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the

Kingdom of Thailand to the Russian Federation,

the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Moldova, and the Republic of Uzbekistan


Ambassador Sasiwat Wongsinsawat joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1988. He has held various positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs including Deputy Director-General, Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs (2013-2016), and Minister, Permanent Mission of Thailand to the UN Office in Geneva (2016-2018). Prior to his assignment in Moscow, he served as Director-General, Department of European Affairs (2018-2020).


Ambassador Sasiwat Wongsinsawat obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science (International Relations) from Chulalongkorn University and his Master’s Degree in International Relations from International University of Japan. 


Ambassador Sasiwat Wongsinsawat has been bestowed with the Knight Grand Cross (First Class) of the Most Exalted Oder of the White Elephant (2020), the Knight Grand Cross (First Class) of the Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand (2014), and the Chakrabarti Mala Medal (2013).
