On 23 August 2018, H.E. Mr. Thanatip Upatising, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand together with Mrs. Montip Upatising, spouse, and other ASEAN member states Ambassadors in Moscow co-hosted the ASEAN Day Reception at the Embassy of Singapore in Moscow on the occasion of the 51^st anniversary commemoration of the establishment of the Association of Southeast Asian Nationas (ASEAN).  The reception was presided over by H.E. Mr. Igor V. Morgurov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and Mr. Ivan Polyakov, President of the Russia – ASEAN Business Council. Representatives of ASEAN dialogue partner countries as well as representatives from the Russian agencies and academic circle also participated in the event.  

In his speech, Deputy Minister Morgurov emphasized the success and progress of the cooperation within Russia – ASEAN Dialogue and reiterated the importance of the ASEAN Member state countries and their dialogue partners to promote the engagement of stakeholders in further developing the partnership.
