On the auspicious occasion of the 65th Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun of the Kingdom of Thailand on 28 July 2017, Ambassador Kriangsak Kittichaisaree presided over a series of ceremonies attended by the Embassy’s staff and their families, the Thai community and Friends of Thailand in Moscow to pay their highest respect and deepest attitude to His Majesty the King, His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit.
1. On 27 July 2017 at 14.00 hrs.: The Ambassador presided over a merit-making ceremony at the premises of the Embassy with two Buddhist monks from the Buddhavihara Thai Temple in St. Petersburg, Phramaha Santi Khaektep and Phramaha Phichet Phromma, and one Thai student monk, Pramaha Rattanaphol Chittamethi from Moscow.
2. On 28 July 2017
07.00 hrs.: The Ambassador led approximately 120 Thais in giving alms to the three Thai monks and 5 other monks led His Venerable Dr. Ashin Acchariya from the Myanmar Theravada Buddhist Center. This was followed at 09.00 hrs. by a well-wishing ceremony for His Majesty the King and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej at the premises of the Embassy.
13.00 hrs.: The Ambassador hosted a Thai cuisine luncheon for the homeless and presented a donation of essential supplies at the Social Adaptation Center for Homeless People named after Glinka (Lyublino).
