If the applicant has a residence in the African continent, he/she must apply for a visa at the Royal Thai Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria only. NLDA documents are required.

If the applicant has a residence outside of the African continent, he/she may apply for a visa at the Royal Thai Embassy where he/she has residence (provided that the residence has been legalised by the local authority). Documents required include residence permit / work permit / educational certificate. NLDA documents must be submitted (legalised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria and the Royal Thai Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria.

For Nigerians who intend to marry Thai women, the following documents must be submitted - (1) Original copy of Affirmation of Freedom to Marry (issued by Nigerian authority). (2) Original NLDA document (3) Documents 1 & 2 must be certified by the Royal Thai Embassy in Abuja. (4) Copy of passport and ID card certified by the Nigerian Embassy in Thailand. (5) Affidavit issued by the Nigerian Embassy in Thailand.
For Applicants from the CAR, Cameroon, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea, Ghana, Liberia, Sao Tome and Principe, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan

If the applicant has a residence in the African continent, he/she must apply for a visa at the Royal Thai Embassy according to his/her nationality or the Embassy's jurisdiction.

If the applicant has a residence outside of the African continent, he/she may apply for a visa at the Royal Thai Embassy where he/she has residence (provided that the residence has been legalised by the residing authority).
