On 6 March 2018, Mr. Poj Harnpol, Chargé d’Affaires of the Royal Thai Embassy  to the Russian Federation, together with the Military and Naval Attachés of the Embassy received a delegation from the National Defence Studies Institute of Thailand led by Rear Admiral Prawin Chittinan, Deputy Commandant of Joint Staff College, at the premises of the Royal Thai Embassy. On this occasion, Mr. Poj briefed the delegation on the overall aspect of the Russian-Thai relations, their dynamics as well as ways to further enhance cooperation between the two countries.
