Adjustment to Supporting Documents for Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) Applications

According to an announcement published by the Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, on 28 August 2026, the supporting document requirements for Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) applications have been adjusted.
The revised requirements have been in effect since 00.00 hrs. on 31 August 2026 (Thailand local time).
Changes to Supporting Document Requirements
Applicants for a Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) must comply with the following changes:
1. Replacement of the Document Indicating Current Location
The requirement to provide a: Document indicating current locationhas been replaced with a requirement to provide: Proof of permanent residence. Applicants must therefore submit proof of permanent residence instead of a document indicating their current location.
2. Addition of a Certificate of Criminal Record Clearance
Applicants must also submit a: Certificate of criminal record clearance as an additional supporting document.
Applications Submitted Before 31 August 2026
DTV applications submitted through the e-Visa system before 31 August 2026 will continue to be processed in accordance with the previous supporting document requirements.
Applications Submitted on or After 31 August 2026
Applications submitted from 00.00 hrs. on 31 August 2026 (Thailand local time) must comply with the revised supporting document requirements.
Before submitting an application, applicants should review and prepare all required documents, including:
- Proof of permanent residence;
- A certificate of criminal record clearance; and
- All other supporting documents required for the selected DTV purpose in the e-Visa system.
These changes relate specifically to the supporting document requirements. Applicants must continue to meet all other applicable criteria and provide all documents required for the relevant category and purpose of travel.

Applicants should ensure that all information and supporting documents are accurate and complete before submitting their applications.
