Thailand presents its candidature for its re-election to the Council of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), in category "C" for the period of 2022-2023. The elections will take place during the 32nd Session of the IMO Assembly from 6 to 15 December 2021.

Thailand has been a long-standing member of the IMO since 1973 and continues to actively advance cooperation and collaboration with the organization and the Member States. This time, Thailand is committed to promoting maritime sustainability and creating a "Global Partnership for Maritime Sustainability" with a shared vision to achieve common interests through due consideration of maritime ecosystem quality.

The radar screen with a global map in our campaign logo represents the world ocean and the international community with Thailand as a maritime nation. The illuminating red dot shows Thailand's strategic location that links all continents through maritime connectivity. The Blue waves represent Thailand's commitment to implementing all IMO instruments and supporting the IMO in technical cooperation by providing fellowships, training equipment, and learning materials, as well as supporting trainers and experts for international projects. The golden stars represent the gold standard that Thailand is striving to achieve in all maritime activities in line with IMO and other international instruments.
